At Aonami First High School in a port town where the sea can be seen from a hill, second-year student Kaoru Tachibana experiences a devastating heartbreak one night with her former middle school teacher, Shinsetsu Shigure. Kaoru is seen by her classmate, the honor student Shiori Minagi, during this moment. Half out of desperation, Kaoru confides in Shiori about her past with Shigure. Shiori quietly listens and then asks with a serious tone, "Do you think you can overwrite the memories of an important person, Tachibana-san?" "I don't know if I can, but I think I have to." Then Shiori suddenly makes an unexpected request: "—Please help me forget my brother." This request is to overwrite her memories of her brother by visiting places filled with memories together. Her feelings for her first love, Shinsetsu Shigure, are special to Kaoru. Therefore, she is often confessed to by both boys and girls at school but has never accepted any of those confessions, as she doesn’t even consider them. Shigure was Kaoru's homeroom teacher during middle school. Kaoru fell in love with her after a runaway incident in her third year. Although she initially cut off contact, she has continued a nameless relationship where they occasionally go on dates after reuniting in high school. Shiori Minagi CV: Manaka Ishiwami A second-year student at Aonami High School and Kaoru's classmate. She is a beautiful and academically excellent honor student. However, she has an invisible wall around her and always keeps her true feelings hidden. In front of her friend Riku, who has been a friend since middle school, she shows some absent-mindedness and stubbornness. Despite being in the same class as Kaoru, they hardly spoke until a certain event led them to start building a friendship, revealing unexpected sides of herself in front of Kaoru. She has been trying to become like her excellent brother, aiming for the same career path and mimicking what she likes about him. She firmly believes that "if I don't become like my brother, my life has no value," which is somewhat obsessive. She adores the character "Ushimotcha," and her eyes light up when talking about it. Riku Inohara CV: Konomi Fujimura A friend of Shiori since middle school and a second-year student at Aonami High School. She is shy and a lively punchline for everyone, often being tossed around by Kaoru and Shiori. However, she has an unusual love for donuts and transforms into a different person in front of them, losing her common sense. She excels in all sports and is a member of the swimming club. Although it’s not a powerhouse, she is dedicated to her club activities. While she doesn’t show it much, she is a hidden hard worker when it comes to studying and belongs to the top group academically. She feels confused about the close friendship that Kaoru and Shiori have developed and is always concerned about them. She has feelings for Shiori that go beyond friendship but has not been able to confess them for years. Shinsetsu Shigure CV: Eriko Matsui Kaoru's former homeroom teacher from middle school, who taught art. She appears to be a cool adult woman, but in reality, she has a carefree personality, loving alcohol and cigarettes (recently electronic ones). After Kaoru's runaway incident in her third year, she resigned from her position at the private middle and high school. After a blank period, she is currently teaching at an art studio run by an acquaintance. After reuniting in high school, Kaoru still calls her "Sensei," and they maintain a relationship that is more than friends but less than lovers. She has a bright and gentle personality. After giving birth, she resigned from her job but returned to work at another company when Kaoru entered elementary school.
