Unwilling to accept this, Rayleigh challenges them to a duel but is swiftly defeated, and his companions abandon him to continue their journey. In his despair, a merchant girl appears before Rayleigh and begins to speak to him. She advises him to seek revenge against the hero party that expelled him. --- **Characters (1)** **Rayleigh** The protagonist of this story. After being expelled from the party by Lin, he is approached by a mysterious merchant in his moment of despair. He was the errand boy in the party, but it is extremely difficult for an ordinary human to keep up with a hero party, making him a capable individual in that regard. **Lin** A girl summoned from another world to be a hero, setting out on a journey to defeat the Demon King.
