This is a side-scrolling action game that progresses along the storyline. It can be played using a keyboard and mouse or a gamepad. If you lose a battle, the heroines may be attacked, triggering H-scenes. H-scenes feature animations that continue from a side-scrolling perspective, as well as CG+text formats and Live2D animations. The main character you control is Vivi, and combat is the main part of the game, but there are also segments where you control the weaker girl, Alps. Alps is a character that appeared in the previous game, but it is not a problem at all if you haven't played the previous installment. To make it easier to revisit scenes later, the game includes a feature that allows you to play from locations you have already cleared. The game is developed using Unity.
