After falling into a lake, he encounters an angel named "Gibril," who is on her way to defeat the Eastern Witch. When he asks her how to return home, she tells him she doesn't know. However, she suggests that the Eastern Witch might have the answer, so the protagonist decides to accompany Gibril on her quest to defeat the Eastern Witch. Upon reaching the Eastern Witch's fortress, he asks the Eastern Witch, "Echidna," how to return home, but she also does not know. Then, as if declaring him useless, Gibril enters a combat stance and confronts Echidna. Just as the protagonist is panicking in the tense atmosphere, a red light bursts forth. The Western Witch "Arachne" intervenes in the battle, stealing "Reason," "Wings," and "Magic Power" from the three of them.
