A novel work centered around the yacht sport of "sailing." Set in modern Shonan Enoshima, it tells the story of girls challenging themselves in yacht races. In the three chapters, "Sail1" includes Chapters 1 and 2. ■ Story "In the last summer of high school, I met a sailing girl who couldn't swim." Minato Iijima is a high school girl living in Shonan, who loves the cliché words "summer × sea × youth." To make her high school life the best youth experience, she dedicated herself to swimming, but due to a failure in a competition, the club was disbanded. In the midst of this, the student council president, Zushio Tokowa, plans to produce internationally competitive athletes from their alma mater. To challenge "sailing," which is being held at Enoshima, she invites her old friend Ruri Tanami (Taba Ruri) and recruits volunteers. Thus, the girls aim for the local inter-school yacht race in August. To catch the wind of youth, the summer story of the sailing girls is about to begin. What kind of sport is "sailing"? This work is set in modern Enoshima and is centered around the yacht sport of "sailing." The races are conducted on a small two-person dinghy called "420," aimed at middle and high school students, where they compete for points based on their rankings. To make it understandable even for those unfamiliar with yachts, we provide explanations of the rules and specialized terms, as well as challenge ourselves with race screens in a smartphone app style and race presentations utilizing 3D visuals. We hope to spark your interest in sailing!
