Episode 2: "Meiji Parting Edition" After wintering, Haruka and Yukikaze descended to the village. What awaited them was great chaos due to government reorganization. At that moment, a government official calling himself Itsuki appeared and skillfully lured Yukikaze into monster hunting. "I will reclaim myself." To challenge Haruka, Yukikaze aims to retrieve her sword and confronts a formidable opponent. Episode 3: "Taisho Starry Years Edition" Time passes, and modernization advances in Taisho. Yukikaze was in a corner of Kanda, Tokyo. Along with her former colleague Otorra and a new companion Kuri, the three live among humans. "Finally, the fox is a thing of the past. Now, there’s only the life of a fox." The three find a small place to live, away from the mainstream of the times. Yet, even in those days, the shadow of the era begins to loom. Times change, and the world transforms. Yet people continue to dream of spring, overcoming winter time and again. The wintering song echoes through every era. Meiji Edition - Character Introductions Haruka A female wolf spirit. She lived in the mountain village of Ouwha and was revered as "Lady Haruka." Known for her immense strength and vast knowledge, she was feared as invincible in Kanto. She had the role of carrying away death and old age from the village but was summoned by the Meiji government for the extermination of evil spirits. Yukikaze A female fox spirit. She appeared as a messenger of Inari, known as "Lord White," but served the government in accordance with the extermination of evil spirits. She has no loyalty to the government and is solely focused on mastering the sword. She boasts, "Strength is mine," and prides herself on being the best swordsman of her time. The story of "Haruka's Country" is told from Yukikaze's perspective. Itsuki A government official of the Meiji government. Originally a samurai from Satsuma. A practitioner of the Yakamura Jigen-ryu, but not particularly attached to the sword. Amidst the turmoil of government division, he is targeted for his life by opposing factions. He skillfully lures Yukikaze into a trap, attempting a comeback. Taisho Edition - Character Introductions Otorra A female fox spirit. A former colleague of Yukikaze, they reunite after half a century and live together. Born in Edo, Kanda, she has a downtown temperament and a big sisterly personality. She used to have a contentious relationship with Yukikaze. Kuri A female raccoon spirit. Originally a princess of the Awa raccoon clan, but her clan was dispersed, leading her to Tokyo. As a young spirit with little experience, she lives while being cared for by Otorra and Yukikaze. She is unmatched in her skills of making udon. She harbors a dream of creating a company.
