◆ STORY Tomohiko confesses to a girl who is like the Madonna of his class just before Golden Week. However, instead of a good response, he learns that she likes his best friend Hiroki. To Tomohiko, Hiroki has always been a close friend since childhood, but also a wall he could never surpass. Every girl Tomohiko is interested in ends up liking Hiroki... On his way back, he feels disappointment in himself for his failed confession and actions, and he hears a voice in his head. Unable to ignore the increasingly loud voice, a girl he has never seen before suddenly appears before Tomohiko. With her purple hair, kimono, and a sword in hand, this strange-looking girl suddenly strikes Tomohiko with her sword. Then, introducing herself as "Murasaki," she explains the situation to the seemingly unfazed Tomohiko. The voice that had been echoing in Tomohiko's mind is from a youkai known as a "Mongma," which slips into the hearts of young humans and engages in mischief. The act of striking him was to drive away the "Mongma." Tomohiko finds it hard to believe this sudden turn of events, yet he cannot argue against the strange cries in his head. He decides to help Murasaki in her quest to recover the Mongma. Thus begins the bizarre journey of Tomohiko and the suddenly appearing "Murasaki."
