However, the summoning ritual only succeeds once every hundred years, and the side that succeeds will lead the direction of this world for the next hundred years. In the previous century, the Pure White Holy Church successfully summoned a saintess, making the Holy Church the dominant faith on the continent of Midra. However, the followers of the Evil Cult did not completely disappear; instead, they retreated into the shadows, aligning themselves with thieves, villains, and even goblins, quietly developing and growing stronger while waiting for the right moment to retaliate. As another century approaches, a girl named "Puella," who had been lounging around in her original world, is summoned to the continent of Midra as a saintess. However, she has no interest in the high-risk, low-reward job of being a saintess and is solely focused on finding a way to return home. The priests of the Pure White Holy Church gradually become aware of her lack of interest, raising doubts about her role as a saintess.
