■Story There is an incident known as "The Tragedy of the Blue Moon." King Meister and Queen Prinsea of the Wind Country Vintlant were on their way to the allied country of Viera to have their newborn princess baptized. During their journey, the royal party was attacked by the army of the Sabrum Empire and subsequently went missing. In response to this incident, Viera formed the Holy Cross Army and began an invasion of Sabrum under the banner of a holy war. Meanwhile, in Sabrum, a coup led by General Geroth resulted in a change of government. Geroth unearthed a mysterious biological weapon—angels—from the ruins of the holy site "Resurrection" and resurrected them into this world. The power of the angels was overwhelmingly strong. The Holy Cross Army, which was supposed to have the upper hand, was pushed back decisively in the face of the powerful angels. As a result, Vintlant lost half of its territory. For the next several years, a state of uneasy peace continued. The populace was exhausted from the prolonged war. After the incident, with the king absent, Vintlant's regent, Kizarov, established knight training schools across the country to cultivate elite defenders. He also invested in and became the principal of the Rosenberg Knight Training School. This story begins with a boy aspiring to be a knight enrolling in the Rosenberg Knight Training School. ■Main Characters ● Hayaway The protagonist of the story. An apprentice knight with a strong sense of justice. His skills are quite average, but he is a rare individual who can use both attack and healing magic. His potential is extremely high, though he is unaware of it. He is quite naive and easily engages with anyone. ● Prisia Hayaway's classmate and a noble residing in Rosenberg Castle. Rumored to be the daughter of the missing King Meister and Queen Prinsea, she is targeted by the Sabrum army and domestic rebels. She has a short temper and does not listen to others. ● Kagura A shrine maiden sent from the Land of Harmony to protect Prisia. She possesses powerful healing magic and was known as the "Immortal Shrine Maiden" in her homeland. She is taciturn and speaks only the bare minimum when necessary. She has zero romantic skills. ● Fel Hayaway's classmate. Having grown up in an orphanage, he values the time spent with friends and companions. He is a magic user with powerful spells, but his precision is lacking. His catchphrase when he fails is "Hecha." He is friendly and has the ability to get along with anyone. ● Ritte The homeroom teacher of the protagonists' class. She possesses a genius-level intellect and is well-versed in various subjects, including tactics, magic, alchemy, mathematics, and economics. She has a complex about her childlike physique and tends to cry or get angry when treated like a child. ● Filia Hayaway's younger sister. A typical doting sister who decided to work at the Rosenberg Knight Training School to be close to Hayaway. She helps with cleaning the school and works as a waitress in the cafeteria. She is a loving daughter who adores her brother and often checks up on him when he seems close to other girls. ● Ain A student who shares a room with Hayaway in the dormitory. He possesses very strong magic but often loses control, attacking indiscriminately with powerful area spells. He lacks cooperation and tends to act alone. He has a contentious relationship with Acti, who persistently tries to form a party with him, leading to a noisy room. ● Jung Another student who shares a room with Hayaway in the dormitory. He is honest, kind, and hardworking. He has a brotherly complex and sees Hayaway as a brother figure, often referring to him as "big brother." He frequently crawls into Hayaway's bed in the morning. He is quite jealous and often clashes with Filia and Fel. ● Acti A student who shares a room with Hayaway in the dormitory. His sword skills are already on par with Prisia's, but he strives to become even stronger. He is also a ladies' man and gets jealous when Hayaway appears to be getting along with girls. He is frugal and resourceful, often picking up items or trying to make consumables last longer, which adds to his character. He wants to take on high-paying missions and often tries to recruit Ain, who always declines. ● Kizarov The regent supporting Vintlant in the absence of the king and the principal of the Rosenberg Knight Training School. However, he is somewhat looked down upon by the students. His silly and lecherous nature has not changed at all from the past. He often consults with the former king Gustav and Echo for national affairs and regularly exchanges information. His "sarcasm" remains intact.
