In a border city of the known continent, where steam machine civilization flourishes, there were two girls flying an airship. Their dream is to explore the 'Unknown World' that infinitely expands outside the known continent! Continuing their days flying through the skies of the border city as a jack-of-all-trades, one day they become involved with the powerful military nation 'Empire' that controls half of the known continent, in a completely unintended and disastrous way. They clash spectacularly with the feared mobile fortress of the Empire's border army, and manage to "escape" brilliantly, successfully flying beyond the massive wall made of super low pressure and seawater that separates the 'Known World (here)' from the 'Unknown World (there)'. In the 'Unknown World', where there is no communication or information, only rumors precede them. As they run around here and there driven by circumstances and a sense of duty, they eventually find themselves facing the mysteriously moving Empire once again... ■□■Characters■□■ ●Connie Il Ricure (CV: Mahiru Nozuki) A girl who pilots the airship 'Urumenshu' and runs a jack-of-all-trades business in the sky. A former orphan. Bright and lively, she possesses both a girl-like cunning and a dark side. A natural leader. Due to debts from the airship, maintenance costs, repair fees, and remittances to the orphanage, she is always, always, always broke. She doesn't choose her jobs, but her principle is not to engage in shady work. She dreams of stepping into the infinitely expanding world and meeting unseen people and landscapes. "I said I would go to pick him up! So—I'm going!" ●Sheila Makis (CV: Mahiru Kaneda) A slender, petite girl who pilots the airship 'Urumenshu' alongside Connie. A member of the cat-eyed race, the Puserians. She is even more cheerful than Connie. Her mental age is low, and she depends on Connie. She is easily infatuated with men. With her charming actions, she captivates men. Though sexually quite free-spirited, her childish behavior usually keeps people from seeing her that way. She tends to be a troublemaker, but she is actually capable when she puts her mind to it. "I think Connie is always eating the delicious food." ●Calberti (CV: Tohru Furukawa) A young man who operates the single-seater ultra-small airship 'Iktus'. By coincidence or intention, he frequently comes into contact with Connie and the others. "...Why are you here again?" ●Levi (CV: Rita) A boy who runs a maintenance shop in the border city with his grandfather, Ras Casas. Not a genius, but a hard worker. He has a faint crush on Sheila, but for some reason, she is unaware of it. "I believe there is something I can do!" ●Matthias Non-Du (CV: Kojiro) An aristocrat of the Empire and admiral of the 3rd air fleet. A proud and handsome man. He symbolizes the image of the 'Empire' as an elegant aristocratic society. A tactical genius who operates a massive fortress. "I am not an idealist." ●Neel (CV: Marino Kawashi) A woman who acts as Matthias's secretary. She doesn't talk much, but when she does, she speaks harshly. She speaks firmly even to Matthias, a high-ranking noble of the Empire. "Do you not have the capacity to admit your failures?" ●Zezerom (CV: Kaori Uta) A special lieutenant of the Empire's border army, who has replaced one eye with a mechanical prosthetic. Dressed as a man. She pilots the assault-type flying fortress Anvorontel of the Imperial Air Force. "I can't be stopped! I won't be stopped! Not by you!" ●"Lady" Ada (CV: Mahiru Kaneda) A brilliant mind rumored to be the reincarnation of the steam king Babbage, a mechanical scientist and mathematician who contributed to the Empire's development with various inventions at a young age. A lady in deep crimson. "Connie. What a lovely name." ●"Steam King" Charles Babbage (CV: Yukimori Ko) A mechanical scientist, mathematician, and political economist, who was once even the Prime Minister of the Empire. A man who raised the level of steam civilization in one generation with his genius mind. He brought the means to incorporate engines into various machines related to daily life to the known world. "Connie—huh? A fine name." ●Yaro (CV: Komugi Nishida) A daughter of the tree species living in the forested wilderness at the western edge of the unexplored continent. Her meeting with Connie and the others serves as the trigger that draws them into the unknown world. Cute, but with a solid core. "I won't say 'please help me.'" ●Nyerrei (CV: Mahiru Kaneda) A wild daughter of the Sheila Ponder dance species. Unlike the tree species, she is not gentle, but wild and aggressive. She sees Connie and the others as enemies and attacks them for entering her territory. "I will eat you."
