■Story There existed a puppet known as "Kugutsu." It blended into human society, manipulating the course of world history from behind the scenes. However, no one knows who created the puppets for what purpose, or whose will the puppets operate under... Hajiro Mina is an ordinary first-year high school girl. Her recent daily routine involves visiting her favorite doll museum. She frequently visits the museum to meet a beautiful doll called "Ruka," which is kept in the back. —One day, Mina's world changes completely. She gains the ability to perceive the "Kugutsu," beings that are not human, hidden among people. In fact, "Ruka" is said to be an entity known as "Mima," which holds the power to influence the future of the world. By forming a contract (resonance) with "Ruka," Mina gains the power to perceive and destroy the "Kugutsu." With her awakened abilities, Mina is forcibly integrated into an organization that destroys (assassinates) the "Kugutsu" lurking in the human world. Mina, who wishes to cherish her life as an ordinary high school student, rebels against such unreasonable actions, but regardless of her will, the "Kugutsu" begin to appear in her life. The protagonist of this story. She is an ordinary girl attending a public high school. Having lost her father at a young age, she was raised by her mother in a single-parent household. Since elementary school, she has been a reliable person, helping her mother with household chores. At first glance, she seems weak and helpless, stirring a protective instinct in those around her. However, on the other hand, she possesses a strong innocence that never gets tainted by her surroundings. This innocence disarms the caution of those around her, allowing everyone to open their hearts to her. She begins visiting the doll museum after school, where she meets "Ruka" and gets caught up in the conflict involving the "Kugutsu," resonating with Ruka and becoming the fourth contractor. ● Jessica Francois Magritte (CV: Kana Hanazawa) 10 years old. A white elementary school student with a British father and a French mother. Her father is a British diplomat, and her mother is a renowned violinist. She attends an international school near Mina's high school. Her parents often travel abroad, leaving her lonely, and she longs for a normal family life. This leads her to adopt a condescending attitude towards others. Being sensitive, she unconsciously empathizes with the worries, loneliness, and sadness of those around her.
