**Story** The setting is - modern times - In the city of Kiyoto, there is a prestigious all-girls boarding school known as "Private Aizu Girls' Academy." This academy has a long-standing tradition and is highly regarded. However, due to factors such as declining birth rates and socio-economic conditions, the number of students has been decreasing year by year, becoming a significant issue for the academy. In response, the vice-principal proposed the idea of coeducation, which had been contemplated for some time. The principal, "Matsudaira Namimori," who values the academy's history and tradition, strongly opposed this idea and emphasized the importance of maintaining the current system. As a result, the female students at the academy became divided: those who desired a liberal school environment and romantic relationships with male students supported coeducation, while those who prioritized tradition and order opposed it. Before long, the students who wanted to maintain the current system began to be referred to as the "Sakugaku faction," while those who wished for coeducation were called the "Togaku faction." This led to ongoing skirmishes between the two factions within the academy. Concerned about the disruption of order caused by the emergence of students supporting the Togaku faction, Namimori initiated a selection process for a group of female students tasked with maintaining security at the academy. Although it was initially planned for dozens of male students to transfer as a trial before the realization of coeducation, Namimori rejected such a large transfer, resulting in only Yuu being allowed to enroll. He wields the legendary sword "Kotetsu," but it often slips from his grip and flies away. He also has a sweet tooth, and discussions about weight are considered taboo in front of him. She is a strict woman known as the "Demon Vice Commander," enforcing a strict code of conduct called "Kuchu Hatto" upon all members. She has a dislike for men and seems to have a slight inclination towards yuri. Therefore, she is not pleased about welcoming Yuu into the Shinsengumi... in fact, she finds him bothersome. Unlike the Shinsengumi, who aim to uphold tradition, she seeks to change the academy in her own way. Although she is quite skilled in swordsmanship during battles, she prefers to use the two pistols she recently acquired. Her speech, which mixes Tosa dialect and standard language, and her prominent canine teeth are her charm points... or so she believes. "My canine teeth and Tosa dialect are my trademarks." ● Iori Okada (CV: Mahiru Kaneda) A first-year transfer student who recently arrived at the academy. She carries a unique aura and is said to have been feared as "Iori the Slayer" at her previous academy due to her exceptional swordsmanship. However, she has a rather comical personality that makes her endearing. Lured by her favorite yakisoba bread, she joined the Tosa Squad and takes on the role of "slayer" for the radical "Tosa Kinno Party" (one slay equals one yakisoba bread). She harbors a desire for romantic relationships, and upon Yuu's arrival at the academy, she plots to recruit him into her faction. Although she is also known as "the Heart of Retreat," this is not out of cowardice but rather an understanding of the importance of "retreat" based on the situation. He is a second-year student at "Satomakan Boys' School" and the only son of the academy's director, Matsubara Tadazumi. He came to Aizu Girls' Academy for a trial transfer for coeducation, but due to various circumstances, he unexpectedly became one of the leaders of the opposing Shinsengumi faction against coeducation. He is somewhat easily swayed but possesses decent skills in both swordsmanship and jujutsu. Being the only male in a school full of girls makes him feel both anxious and hopeful.
