In a world that resembles modern Japan yet is distinctly different, there exists a year known as "Kamimori." It is here that the story unfolds. In this world, a power known as "magic" exists as a matter of course, having advanced significantly through the fusion with science and technology. Although it may appear peaceful on the surface, irregularities constantly arise beneath it. This is the way of the world. People refer to it as the "underworld," but there are certainly those who live there. They are commonly known as "handymen." These are individuals who will take on any job as long as it does not violate the law. Such a profession exists in this world. One young man has been in this line of work for some time now. His name is Seigi Kirishima. True to his name, he is a handyman who believes in and upholds his own "justice." He originally belonged to a special police organization in this world but, due to certain circumstances, became a handyman. One day, through his work as a handyman, he ends up protecting a mysterious girl who has lost her memory. This enigmatic girl, "Ruru," does not even know who she is.
