"Ooka Shimei" arrives there as a rookie magistrate. Following Shimei is his childhood friend "Hiraga Rimu." Sent as an overseer from the North Town Magistrate's Office is "Toyama Sakura." And many companions gather around. Just after arriving, a girl named "Kawai Koume" is brought to the magistrate's office. Koume is fated to be judged tomorrow for her alleged involvement in an incident that has stirred turmoil in the Sakura city. Considering Koume's charges, her death penalty seems unavoidable. However, Shimei is convinced of her innocence based on the suspicious points of the incident and Koume's desperate pleas. Who is the real culprit? Can Shimei prove Koume's innocence!? The battle as the Nakacho magistrate begins now―― Overview An adventure drama where you unravel the story through repeating adventure, investigation, and magistrate parts! The "Adventure Part" where you progress the story, The "Investigation Part" where you move around the map to investigate the incident, The "Magistrate Part" where you deduce the culprit and unveil the truth with your words as blades. These three parts make up a chapter, advancing the story. ●Adventure Part This part progresses the story like a typical PC game ADV. The adventure part depicts the daily life at the Nakacho Magistrate's Office. It includes events where incidents occur, sword fights, and the beginning of each chapter. ●Investigation Part This part involves investigating the incidents that need to be solved. You gather all evidence and information related to the incident by talking to various people and examining locations. The mouse cursor changes when you can investigate specific backgrounds. 1. Talk... Speak to the characters present. 2. Investigate... Examine the location. 3. Move... Move to another location. ●Magistrate Part This part reveals the truth of the incident, deduces, and resolves it. - Examination You have multiple characters testify about the incident. From these testimonies, you select one person who has contradictions or strange statements and question them. The questioned testimony will be highlighted in red, and if correct, there will be a presentation of evidence or information. If the questioned item is incorrect, there will be no presentation of evidence, and a cue indicating it is wrong will occur, returning to the examination. 　　↓ - After Examination By pursuing the contradictions of one person and questioning them, various evidence and information will be presented, and options will arise for you to choose from. By selecting the correct options in the conversation, the story progresses towards the truth. All items will trigger a "slashing" effect upon selection, and the buttons will be cut in two. The magistrate will flow the presentation of cutting with words as blades, just as the tagline suggests. - Dispute Witnesses will argue, saying "What you're saying is strange" to each other. Shimei will observe the argument, listening to both sides. You can interrupt one side and pursue the contradiction. As you repeat examinations and disputes, the culprit will gradually be narrowed down to one person. Finally, you will confront the suspected culprit in a "Duel." 　　↓ - Duel In the duel, you confront the other party with evidence and information, questioning them about being the culprit of the incident. Aim to clear with good results and become a renowned magistrate! Characters ●Ooka Shimei A rookie magistrate at the Nakacho Magistrate's Office and the protagonist of this story. He is childhood friends with Hiraga and Hijikata, and they share a deep bond. He rarely asserts himself in daily life, but when it comes to matters of the magistrate, he does not allow compromises. His hobby is shogi, and he excels at the swinging rook strategy. "No matter what happens, I will surely lead to the truth!" ●Hiraga Rimu (CV: Momoyama Ion) Shimei's childhood friend, always earnest, bright, and cheerful. Her inventive thinking leads her to join the Nakacho Magistrate's Office with Shimei. She cannot overlook those in trouble and tends to get involved in everything. "Forward is the only way! We have to try everything we can!" ●Toyama Sakura (CV: Kotori Yuka) Shimei's colleague who constantly thinks about what a magistrate should be. She is skilled in both literature and martial arts, trusting only her own abilities, and tends to keep a distance from those around her. "Even if I am called foolish, I will only follow the path I believe in!" ●Kawai Koume (CV: Haruka Sora) A lively and positive younger sister figure to everyone, always moving around.
