**The Season of Stories is Winter** As the university entered winter break, Takuya Kusatsu set out on a motorcycle trip without a destination, and just as he arrived in the rural town of Yunohana, he got into a traffic accident. He crashed into an old shrine that stood quietly by the roadside and lost consciousness. When he awoke again, the first thing that came into view was a strange girl peering down at him while floating in mid-air, looking at him lying on his back. "Oh, you're awake. I'm glad to see you're safe." The girl, dressed in a peculiar outfit, smiled at Takuya as he slowly sat up and introduced herself as "Yunoha," the guardian deity of the land. In a sudden turn of events that left Takuya bewildered, Yunoha explained that she had used her powers as a land deity to heal him from his near-fatal injuries. "Oh no, there's no need for thanks. However, could you possibly cover the repair costs for the broken shrine?" As Takuya, still confused, tried to express his gratitude, Yunoha stopped him and began calculating the costs with a calculator that appeared from nowhere. "Beep beep, it looks like the total comes to 2.35 million yen. If you think about it, that's a bargain for your life, right?♪" With a smile still on her face, Yunoha thrust a piggy bank shaped like a donation box at Takuya. --- Thus, Takuya found himself somewhat forcibly agreeing to the demands of his "savior," Yunoha, and ended up spending his days working part-time in the Yunohana shopping district... --- **Characters** **Yunoha (CV: Kotomi Nanahara)** A self-proclaimed "land deity" living in Yunohana Town. She wears a peculiar outfit reminiscent of a priestess, which appears like regular clothing to those without spiritual sensitivity. Officially, she is said to be Takuya's younger sister and follows him around under the pretense of monitoring him. While she seems innocent and carefree at first glance, she is actually a shrewd money-grubber. Although her tone is polite, she subtly mixes in harsh words during conversations. She carries a donation box-shaped piggy bank and unconditionally collects Takuya's wages from his part-time job. Listening to the sound of money accumulating is her greatest pleasure. To survive in the harsh modern world, she believes in a give-and-take philosophy. Her special skills include fake crying and low-budget acting. Despite claiming to be a deity that governs winter, she is actually very sensitive to cold and loves lounging in a kotatsu or taking baths. "There’s nothing in this world that can’t be bought with money. If I, a god, say so, it must be true!" **Wakaba Ito (CV: Kaori Ikuta)** The granddaughter of the bathhouse "Hana no Yu" located in the shopping district. She has a very feminine appearance but can handle all tasks at the bathhouse, from reception to cleaning. She often sits at the counter reading books. With a kind and gentle personality, her trademark is her warm smile, which calms the atmosphere around her. She has oddly old-fashioned tastes, preferring daifuku over cake and period dramas over trendy shows. Her dream is to become a picture book author, but her stories often contain content that others find hard to understand, such as monsters communicating only through screams. She has a habit of trying to explain things with her own picture books. She also designs the mascot character for the Yunohana shopping district. "It's morning! It's time for radio calisthenics!" **Tsubaki Takao (CV: Hikaru Isshiki)** The daughter of "Takao Sake Shop" in the shopping district. She is Wakaba's childhood friend and has been relied upon as the neighborhood older sister since they were kids. Although she has a quick temper and a rough way of speaking, she is a straightforward and cheerful older sister. Having lost her mother at a young age, she helps her timid father run the shop. She is the type to take care of those in need, so despite herself, she looks after Takuya and Yunoha. There’s a corner in the shop where customers can drink standing (kaku-uchi), and she often chats with lovable drunk regulars. She loves drinking but has a low tolerance for alcohol, so she tends to fall asleep quickly. After closing the shop, she secretly writes novels and poems in her room. Despite her bold and carefree personality, her writing style is delicate and charming. A novel she wrote for fun unexpectedly became popular, and now she has a side job as a romance novelist for teenagers, but the stark contrast between her public persona and her writing is kept as a top secret. "If that isn’t finished, I can’t pay you today’s wages~" **Honami Katsurazawa (CV: Kaede Koba)** The daughter of the café "Shirataki Chabo" in the shopping district. She helps as a waitress at Shirataki Chabo. She interacts with her mother, Haruna, more like sisters than mother and daughter, admiring her. She enjoys chatting while drinking coffee made by Haruna after closing the shop. Though she tends to give a cool impression due to her few words, she is actually very curious. Her polite speech gives her a somewhat mature aura. Instead of speaking directly about her feelings, she prefers to use explanatory phrases like "it is that way," but when she opens up, she becomes more casual, saying "it is." Having lost her father at an early age, she considers everyone in the shopping district like family. Wakaba and Tsubaki also dote on Honami as if she were a younger sister. She is one of the few who understands Wakaba’s picture books. Since childhood, she has had strong spiritual sensitivity and can see things that others cannot. She is vaguely aware of Yunoha's true identity and is interested in her along with Takuya. "I’m the type that doesn’t put sugar in my coffee."
