■Story Keiji Osaki's special skill is tinkering with machines, yet he is also not very good at handling them. He is such a young man. After failing his university entrance exams, he begins to help at his grandfather's factory, which specializes in the production and repair of heavy machinery (Vox). Living a peaceful life in a rural town while being cherished by regular customers, he manages to get by somehow. One day, however, a meteorite suddenly falls on the town. When Keiji arrives at the scene, he encounters a metallic life form attached to the meteorite. Moreover, it transforms into the figure of a girl from his forgotten memories. From that day on, a strange cohabitation begins between Keiji and the metallic life form—Arne. After a while, she learns to speak and says, "I want to go back to my planet." Moved by her words, Keiji resolves to do whatever it takes to send her back to space. However, a girl who is a space pirate (Rare Metal Hunter) appears, targeting Arne. With various circumstances intertwining, will Keiji and the others be able to safely send Arne back to her hometown? ■Characters ● Arne (CV: Hana Akino) A metallic life form that was attached to the fallen meteorite. She is made of liquid metal and originally had the shape of a large droplet of water. However, due to physical contact with Keiji, her basic form became that of a girl. She can revert to a slime-like form for a few minutes and can transform by mimicking others. Like imprinting in chicks, she is attached to Keiji, the first person she met. She often tries to sit on his lap or sleep next to him. She has an incredible learning ability and grows to the point of being able to communicate in just a few days. However, she still lacks what can be called emotions, though there seem to be signs of awakening... "Arne has realized something amazing. Delicious things disappear when you eat them...!" ● Shino Akune (CV: Yukina Fujimori) An older sister-like figure who has known Keiji since he was a child. She is the daughter of the public bathhouse "Tatsumi-yu." After graduating from university, she helps at her family's bathhouse. She has a straightforward and caring personality. Her special skill is making friends quickly, and according to Keiji, she is a communication monster. She has a severe brother complex but denies it. Sometimes, she shows a dependable side like a nurturing mother and often gives advice on her friends' love lives. On the other hand, she is very weak when it comes to her own romantic affairs, turning bright red and acting suspiciously when the topic arises. She shares a secret with Keiji, knowing his past since childhood. "You’re all sweaty, huh? Here, a towel. Let’s take a bath later, okay?" ● Gumiko Kirishima (CV: Mao Tachibana) Keiji's peer. A tenant and the poster girl of the public bathhouse "Inui-yu." She has a cheerful personality and is incredibly positive. However, her personality changes when she gets into a robot, which can be a downside. She is an athlete in robot competitions and has the skill to compete at a national level. She was being watched as a hopeful contender but is currently on hiatus due to a serious injury sustained during a match. She is now recovering while staying at her cousin's bathhouse, "Inui-yu." She has only known Keiji for a few years. She works alongside him in the factory as his assistant, hoping to learn about working robots. She is also one of those seeking a "place to return." "This is the moment to say, ‘There’s nothing impossible in my dictionary!’" ● Lili Lucarza Chamoni (CV: Mia Naruse) A boisterous space pirate. She came to Earth in a stealth whale-shaped spaceship to target Arne. However, during landing, an important part of her spaceship gets broken. After wandering about in confusion, she decides to run a maid café where she doesn’t have to hide her beast ears to earn some cash. The maid outfit serves as her formal attire as a space pirate. She has also acquired maid skills as part of her pirate repertoire. She loves her older sister but tends to act contrary in public. "Now, hand over your valuables! You better be ready to go in your underwear!" ● Uni Mariette Panini (CV: Ryoko Tezuka) A subordinate of the space pirate Lili. She is a cool and sharp-tongued individual. She hates troublesome matters but loves to see Lili flustered. She is the one who suggested that Lili run the maid café. As a support role, she leaves all the rough pirate work to Lili. She loves Japanese otaku culture. She enjoys tinkering with machines and has affectionately named the engine of their pirate ship "Minyon." While she is usually quiet, she becomes enraged like a raging fire if Minyon or her subordinate robots are harmed. "Lili-sama seems to be in a splendid mood today." ● Kanade Hioki (CV: Mari Haruzaki) A close older sister figure who cares about Keiji. She is a counselor who frequently comes to check on him and take care of him. Watching Shino get flustered by her presence is amusing, so she sometimes playfully teases Keiji. She has a bright, delicate personality and is a good listener. While she has a soft demeanor with others, she shows a somewhat cold side when alone. She loves drinking alcohol and always looks for reasons to drink, enjoying gatherings with everyone as she is somewhat lonely. "Don’t worry, alcohol is good for mental fatigue, especially sake." ● Keiji Osaki The protagonist of the story. He is 19 years old and helps at his grandfather's factory that deals with work robots instead of attending university. He has a cheerful personality but a foul mouth. He tends to think things through calmly but sometimes takes too long to decide due to overthinking; however, once he makes a decision, he acts quickly. He has loved tinkering with machines since he was young. However, he has a condition that makes him feel sick when he touches machines for too long, creating a dilemma. Nevertheless, he continues to help at the factory for his love of tinkering. Having lost his parents at an early age, he feels indebted to Shino, who has always been kind to him. Just as he is trying to become a proper craftsman with a junior like Gumiko, he finds himself being attached to a mysterious life form that fell from space...
