**Story** The Japan-U.S. joint anti-terror organization "Ministry of Defense Central Investigation Department Intelligence Section 2 Subsection," commonly known as CIRS [Central Intelligence and Research Second], became publicly known following an offshore oil field explosion accident. After being restructured as a secret organization, CIRS transitioned its covert activities to a new organization called SORD [Social Ops, Research & Development].
