Sense Off ~a sacred story in the wind~

[Requests Accepted] [otherwise] Sense Off ~a sacred story in the wind~ [VJ011461]

Quietly arriving, the last visions on the surface— What was waiting for Naoya there was a rather dramatic event in life: a "reunion with a childhood friend"— The season is the transitional period between spring and early summer. Around the time when the easterly wind from the sea sways the wisteria flowers. Although the cherry blossom season has ended, it is still a bit early to call it early summer—such a season. The setting is a regional city. A place where "a rich living environment surrounded by greenery"—such a catchphrase seems to be selling new residential developments. In reality, that catchphrase is merely a way to conceal the fact that it is simply "the countryside." In that city, there is a facility. It is a research institution affiliated with a university, where a school life is being lived. A pseudo-school life that is common yet somehow different from anywhere else. A sacred story unfolds in such a setting— **Characters** ● Naoya Moriura The protagonist. A student. He comes to this facility after being hospitalized due to an accident. He excels in math and science but is disastrously poor in humanities (especially classical Chinese). ● Naruse Orinaga Naoya's former childhood friend. One of the research collaborators. They used to play together often when they lived close by, but she moved away due to her parents’ circumstances when they were in lower elementary school. They reunite at this facility after a long time. She enjoys meddling and shows Naoya around various places since he is new and unfamiliar with the facility, and also forcibly wakes him up in the morning when he is reluctant. Generally, she has a gentle personality and often acts as a mediator between Naoya and Tamaki, who tend to quarrel. She has a somewhat airheaded side and is often teased by Naoya. Their birthdays are one day apart, and they used to celebrate their birthday parties together as children. Dislikes: Bird cartilage. ● Tamaki Hanishima One of the research collaborators. Their first meeting was an awkward one, as Naoya accidentally caught her changing, leading her to have a bad impression of him from the start. Additionally, her emotions are intense, and she has a straightforward personality that causes her to speak her mind immediately, leading to frequent arguments with Naoya. However, she has unexpected sides, such as being a grandma's girl and a bit spoiled, as well as being good at cooking. She dislikes studying and struggles with it, often being tutored by Yoshiko. She is not physically strong and often falls ill with a fever. Dislikes: Yamanba. ● Shiiko Makabe One of the research collaborators. A shy girl who rarely asserts herself. She is the type to be shy around new people and struggles with social interactions. She admires Naoya, who excels in math and science, but she has very poor timing and often gets interrupted by Tamaki or Minagi when trying to talk to him. She has a sincere and kind personality and always gives her best effort. She is also gullible and often gets teased. She likes round things (both big and small). ● Minagi Sanjo One of the research collaborators. A lively girl who speaks in Kansai dialect. She tends to be overly dramatic in everything she does. She tries to make everyday life as dramatic as possible, causing trouble wherever she goes. She has a carefree personality and believes that as long as each day is fun, that's all that matters. In contrast to Shiiko, she can easily get close to new people (some might say she is overly familiar). She is currently plotting to eat the snail that Akihito keeps as a pet. She has an unusually keen sense of smell. ● Toko Goryo One of the research collaborators. She lives in a separate building from Naoya and the others in the facility and rarely encounters them. She has few facial expressions and speaks very little, only giving minimal responses when addressed. She often gazes at the sky in the courtyard of the facility, and at those times she gives off a mystical aura that makes one hesitate to speak to her, as if she is merging with the wind. She writes beautifully, creating an elegant "x." ● Akihito Kazuki A research collaborator. Before Naoya arrived, he was the only male among the research collaborators. With Naoya's arrival, he feels relieved to have another male in the midst of the women. For some reason, he keeps a snail as a pet. ● Yoshiko Toma A researcher at the facility. She holds a teaching license and sometimes teaches classes for Naoya and the others. She has a troublesome hobby of assigning a lot of homework (from Naoya and the others' perspective). A friendly older woman. ● Shimon Aoto The facility's supervisor. A mysterious figure who serves as the narrator of this story. ● Girl A A mysterious girl. "Enigmatic."
