Upon disembarking from the few daily ferries, she encounters a girl. The girl gazes into the distance, her hair dancing in the sea breeze, staring at the horizon that blurs the line between sea and sky. Before she knows it, the girl has vanished, leaving Hairi feeling as if she has been playfully snatched away by a fox as she heads to her grandmother's house. There, she finds her aunt among relatives already sorting through the belongings. While helping to tidy up her grandmother's cherished items, Hairi adapts to the "island life" she is experiencing for the first time, despite her initial bewilderment. It is a life that allows her to connect with nature—something she had never known in city living. It feels like a nostalgic reminder of something she had forgotten. She meets a girl staring at the sea. She meets a girl searching for a mysterious butterfly. She meets a girl looking for memories and a pirate ship. She meets a girl living in a quiet lighthouse. She has made new friends on the island— She thought to herself that she wished this summer vacation would never end. --- **Characters** **The Girl Who Forgot Summer Vacation** - Shiroha Naruse (CV: Yoshimi Kobara) A cool and shy island girl. Her only close relative is her grandfather, and she feels isolated on the island. Having been alone for a long time, she struggles with social interactions and sometimes says things without considering others' feelings. She often gazes at the sea from the outskirts of the island. "Don't pay too much attention to me." --- **The Girl Chasing Island Legends** - Ao Sorakado (CV: Natsumi Takamori) An island girl who interacts with everyone as friends, regardless of gender. She works part-time at a local candy shop and is beloved by people of all ages. She often carries a wild fox (?) with her. It’s common to see her sleeping in various places around the island, which is a usual sight for the islanders. "Anyway, just leave me alone if I'm sleeping." --- **The Young Lady Searching for a Pirate Ship** - Kamome Hisashima (CV: Tomomi Mineuchi) A mysterious girl encountered on the island. She always drags a large suitcase with her and never reveals its contents. Like the protagonist, she is staying on the island only for this summer. It seems she is searching for something, wandering the island with an old map in hand, which she claims is "a treasure map." "Let’s go. Once again, to the place where the pirate ship is." --- **The Girl Searching for Herself** - Tsumugi Wenders (CV: Emiri Iwai) A girl who appears near the island's lighthouse. She is a serious and honest half-German girl, using her summer vacation to "search for what she wants to do." She cleans up trash that washes ashore and cherishes items she finds that can still be used. When troubled or at a loss for words, she emits a "mugyu" sound. She often hums old songs from foreign lands. "I'm searching. I'm looking for what I want to do." --- **The Sniper of Torishiro Island** - Miki Nomura (CV: Saku Ichimiya) A girl who belongs to the security enforcement department of the Torishiro Island youth group. She mercilessly shoots those who disrupt the island's order with her homemade modified water gun, the "Hydro Gladiator." She also manages the broadcasting tower, ensuring thorough surveillance of the island. This summer, she has been tasked with writing a tourism article for a local newspaper, causing her to run around the island. She lives alone on the island. "This is my small way of giving back to the island." --- **Justice is in the Breasts** - Shizuku Mizuori (CV: Saho Koyama) The student council president of a school on the mainland that all island residents attend. She has come to the island this summer to meet Tsumugi. Her affection and respect for breasts are contagious to those nearby. She often spends time with Tsumugi at the lighthouse on the island. She has decided to cooperate with her friends to rebuild the "Beach House" that once existed on the island. "I'm here today to share my love for breasts." --- **The Lost Child of Summer** - Umi Kato (CV: Aimi Tanaka) A girl who is the protagonist's cousin visiting the Kato family this summer. She has an extraordinary enthusiasm for fried rice. Despite her age, she speaks with a mature demeanor and is quite responsible. She often treats the protagonist harshly. Every day, she goes out to play somewhere on the island, seemingly with a purpose. "You don't seem well. Want to eat some fried rice?" --- **The Girl Chasing Demons** - Shiki Kamiyama (CV: Aoi Furukawa) A travel-loving girl who has come to Torishiro Island. She travels around Japan collecting "demon folklore." She has visited the island to hear about the demon legends said to remain here. Though she claims it's her first time on the island, she appears in places unknown even to the locals. She excels in survival skills, particularly in finding edible items. Yet, she often collapses from hunger in various places on the island. When given rice balls, she becomes obedient. "Hey, do you know about the demons that were said to be here on this island?" --- **Ryoichi Mitani** (CV: Kentaro Kumagai) A boy living on the island. He has a tendency to want to take off his clothes anytime, anywhere. He has transformed a storage shed in the mountains into a secret base. It has become a gathering place for his peers. --- **Tenzen Kanno** (CV: Yohei Hamada) Another boy living on the island. He has a serious and cool appearance, but he is overly dedicated to table tennis, which leads to various odd behaviors. He has brought a table tennis table to the secret base he built with Ryoichi, where he trains daily. --- **Kohato Naruse** (CV: Minoru Shiraishi) Shiroha's grandfather. Sometimes referred to as Old Man Naruse. He bears scars from many battles. The most painful was from his wife's attack. He is also a master of the "underwater martial arts" passed down on Torishiro Island. --- **Kyouko Misaki** (CV: Megumi Takamoto) The protagonist, Hairi Takahara's, maternal aunt. She was connected to Kato's grandmother, who lived alone on Torishiro Island, through antique collecting. She sometimes breathlessly sorts through a large collection of antiques stored in the Kato family's warehouse. Having studied archaeology, she can translate ancient texts. --- **Inari** (CV: Konomi Suzuki) A wild fox (?) residing on Torishiro Island. Often seen with Ao Sorakado. Although it is an animal (?), it seems to understand human language. It is perceptive and capable. "It makes a 'pon' sound." --- **Hairi Takahara** (CV: Shoya Chiba) The protagonist of this story. During summer vacation, he comes to Torishiro Island to sort through his deceased grandmother's belongings. He used to be involved in swimming but distanced himself from it due to certain circumstances. As a result, his behavior became problematic, and he was treated as an outcast at school. Escaping from the city, he decides to spend his summer vacation in a place where no one knows him. He has a laid-back personality and is somewhat elusive, often reluctant to show his inner self. Since he attended an all-boys school, he is not very accustomed to girls. On the other hand, he passionately discusses how to become popular with his classmates.
